NFL Owners - wakeup

Owners - show some "spine" for the fans (overbidding for players).  Teams are dumping these "blimp" payout contracts at the end of the funnel, stop the bleeding now, take a pass on these "marquee" players that the "circus show" agents parade.  Take a pass now and show some backbone.  Your game that pays your dividends is in a nose dive but the only thing, you don't see it YET.  Reset your product now and realize the benefit sooner.

Saturday Night Fever

Can you feel it?  No, not the brain boiling heat index but the Saturday Night Fever that's just around the corner.  Now that the game's "greatest player" has graduated & the coach who "somehow" knew nothing about his player's off field financial interest is off to Seattle where players are paid to play...we can roll up our sleeves, grab the remote control, and watch real football.  Where it's still played for the love of the game!  This coming season has a lot of intrigue to it, will 'Bama replace FLA as the NCAA's dynasty or will a sleeper team jump at the opportunity to shake the lingering "hangover" known as the BCS a.k.a the "ball controlled system"...either way...it's game on baby.  September 2nd...3 weeks away!  Come on CBS college fantasy football, let's get it on!  Geaux Tigers

Broncos Collaspe

It's not even time to think about who is going to be cut during pre-season but the way it's going right now, walk-ons could be feeling confident about themselves.  What element or factor is there at some of these training camps where so many players are headed to the injury reserve?  I wonder if there training camps that actually apply a process that helps eliminate or atleast reduce the amount of injuries that are experienced.  Also have you ever noticed that big contract players seem to experience an injury more frequently than a newcomer?

Great Thursday night action

Not everybody gets giddy about Thursday night college football, but I must admit, I do when it's a good matchup.  This week's game between Pitt & USF has been great and it's not over yet.  I have a feeling the way it's going, the last team with the ball will win this game.   Thank God for college football and Thursday nights!  Makes the weekend feeling arrive early.

A "Knight" at the office

Reggie who? McKnight 12 touches 108 yds. hit the showers.  Almost boring, but Joe McKnight is a one of a kind.  A lottery backfield of talent and McKnight makes them all take a seat.  This guy, a sophomore hasn't even broke a sweat yet.  IF he doesn't hang the heisman on the shelf this year, put it in the bank next year along with a nice draft position.  Although Reggie is a rare talent in his on right, teams will be in line for McKnight as he'll actually become a dominate running back of which the likes of USC hasn't seen since the 1970's.  And that's passing up a huge list of great backs.  He's even got some maturing to do size wise as well (6'0", 180).  Another 15 lbs. of muscle and this guy will be looking like a sweetness.  As for his team, they are looking unbeatable.  It won't likely be until the BCS championship will they face an opponent capable of challenging them and that will be a difficult task for the Sooners (nope the Bulldog's conference will eventually tame Georgia).  And the Sooners only challenge looks to be Missouri in their conference championship.  Look for McKnight to be joining in on the "Chase" in New York later this year.
